Tick Removal
Ticks are common between spring and autumn, mostly found in woodland and grassland.
They attach their mouth under the skin of your pet and feed on blood. They can carry several nasty diseases so it is very important to remove them, ensuring not to squeeze them or leave any mouthparts behind as this will increase the risk of spreading diseases.
Ticks are very good at passing on infections from one animal to another. They feed by biting an animal and feasting on blood. This may take several days. Once they have had enough, they drop off. Ticks transmit microbes that can cause diseases, such as Lyme disease and babesiosis.
During the visit I will remove any ticks from your pet using tried and tested means and approved equipment.
